SBR decanters, also known as also known as floating decanters are used to collect and discharge the clarified water from Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) used in biological treatment process.
The flow is created by opening the water valve which creates a hydraulic differential. The water withdrawal process takes place slightly under the water surface to prevent unwanted scum and foam from entraining into the system.
If the water level becomes too low, the floating decanter comes to a resting position on the support unit attached to the bottom of the basin.
Floating Type
The decanter floats up and down with the changing water level by utilizing air filled barges.
Actuated Type
